Womenswear Buyer - Pants / Bottoms

London | Permanent

A little bit different. A little bit unexpected. Always one step ahead.

If you love fashion, have an instinct for what's next and aren't afraid to push boundaries with product, this could be right up your street!

We're looking for a creative and commercially minded Womenswear Buyer specialising in Pants / Bottoms to join an exciting, internationally recognised fashion business where individuality, self-expression and original thinking are at the heart of everything.

This is an opportunity to do more than simply buy product. We want someone who is curious, brave with their choices and constantly looking for inspiration. Someone who can spot an emerging trend, put their own spin on it and turn it into something customers genuinely want to wear.

From standout denim and statement trousers to casual woven and jersey styles, you'll have the freedom to help shape a collection that feels fresh, relevant and anything but ordinary.

So, what's the role all about?

You'll take ownership of the Pants / Bottoms category, creating a distinctive product offer that balances creativity with commercial instinct. You'll be constantly looking for newness, exploring different fabrics, shapes, fits and styling opportunities, and working with suppliers to bring exciting ideas to life.

You'll need to understand the customer, know what's happening in the market and have the confidence to take a few risks. Equally, you'll know how to turn those creative ideas into a profitable, commercially successful department.

Your day-to-day will include:

· Setting the creative direction: Building exciting, trend-led collections with a strong point of view, combining emerging trends with the styles your customer can't get enough of.

· Being bold with product: Exploring new shapes, fabrics, washes, fits and styling ideas. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to challenge the norm and bring something different to the table.

· Keeping ahead of the trends: Taking inspiration from street style, culture, music, vintage, social trends and the wider fashion landscape to keep the offer fresh and exciting.

· Making product happen: Working closely with suppliers to develop unique, first-to-market styles and uncover new sourcing opportunities.

· Creating the right balance: Developing a compelling collection across casual woven and jersey, ensuring the right mix of newness, commercial product, quality and value.

· Owning the numbers: Managing OTB, analysing sales and trading performance, maximising intake margin and knowing when to chase, cancel or change direction.

· Thinking across channels: Developing a clear strategy for online and retail, understanding how the customer shops and where the biggest opportunities sit.

· Working collaboratively: Partnering with Design, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, PR, E-commerce and Retail teams to bring your vision to life.

· Influencing and inspiring: Presenting your ideas and seasonal strategies to senior stakeholders, sharing your knowledge and helping develop those around you.

· Thinking ahead: Balancing short and long lead times, managing the critical path and reacting quickly when trends or trading patterns change.

What we're looking for...

· An experienced Womenswear Buyer with a strong background in Pants / Bottoms, particularly casual woven and jersey.

· Someone with a fantastic eye for product and a genuine passion for fashion.

· A creative thinker who loves experimenting with trends, fabrics, shapes and silhouettes and isn't afraid to be a little different.

· Someone who can spot an opportunity before it becomes mainstream and translate inspiration into commercial product.

· Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing OTB, sales, margin and departmental performance.

· Confident developing product, negotiating with suppliers and building strong international supplier relationships.

· Someone who understands the importance of balancing newness and creativity with a commercially successful range.

· A natural collaborator who enjoys sharing ideas, influencing others and working across different teams.

· Adaptable, energetic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where things can change quickly.

The good stuff!

· The opportunity to work for a globally recognised fashion business with a seriously distinctive identity.

· A creative, inspiring environment where individuality and fresh thinking are encouraged.

· Flexible start and finish times.

· A dog-friendly office!

· Free gym access and private medical insurance.

· Up to 40% employee discount across a portfolio of fashion and lifestyle brands.

· A paid volunteering day each year.

· Cycle to Work scheme and season ticket loan.

· Ongoing training, development and opportunities to grow.

Ready to do things a little differently?

If you're a Buyer who loves fashion, lives and breathes product and wants the opportunity to create collections with real personality, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for someone with ideas, confidence and a creative eye who can bring something special to the table.

Great product starts with great ideas. What could you bring to the collection?
