HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
Here at Lloyds Banking Group, the CIB Corporate Credit team have an opportunity for a Credit Officer within the Business & Professional Services Credit Team. We look after high profile and sophisticated clients generating a minimum of £100m in turnover and are a part of the wider Chief Credit Office within our Risk Division.
We provide independent and dynamic credit assessment and portfolio monitoring in support of Relationship Managers across Corporate Solutions Group and their relevant Product Partner areas. If successful, you'll join a team responsible for the Credit Risk Management of a number of high profile clients. You'll also engage frequently with product partners and senior stakeholders. The position provides the opportunity to attend customer meetings as a key part of a deal team in support of new business opportunities.
What you can expect to do...
- Full ownership in managing a portfolio of group customers, including the analysis of complex customers and transactions.
- Proactive in taking the lead on transactions, constructively engaging with 1st and 2nd Line stakeholders (and clients/advisers where appropriate) to reshape proposals to meet bank risk appetite.
- Identifies horizon risks and actively owns the credit risks which arise and seeks to improve mitigations or de-risk.
- Supports the continued development of yourself and colleagues within Corporate Credit.
- Proactively uses internal and external data / information sources to generate meaningful insight and improve decision making.
- Eager to identify and implement change to drive efficiencies and ensure we lead the market in terms of credit risk delivery.
The skills we're looking for...
Credit risk management experience and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges. You'll also have well-developed communication and influencing skills and are happy to challenge the status quo whilst being comfortable making and explaining your decisions. Be able to balance conflicting demands with delivering to tight timescales.
Be an experienced credit professional and demonstrates financial and non-financial (including documentation / legal risks) analysis skills.
