CAD Technician - #1689199

Our client is a leading UK specialist installer of structured cabling, audio visual and security systems and smart buildings technology. We are seeking to recruit an experienced CAD technician with experience in at least one of these industries.As this is an immediate vacancy, the plan is that the role should start initially on a contract basis then become permanent after a few months which will allow the company to offer tremendous opportunities for career promotion.To be considered for this role you must have experience of designing network cabling systems within buildings. Key Responsibilities:

• • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings of building systems and components using CAD software like AutoCAD or Revit. These drawings may include floor plans, elevations, sections, and schematics.
  • Learn how to use and understand Heatmap Survey, CCTV Field of View and cable measuring CAD software packages.
  • Work closely with designers, project teams and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and translate conceptual sketches into accurate CAD drawings.
  • Incorporate smart building technologies into designs, such as IoT devices, sensors, and automated systems. Ensure that these technologies are seamlessly integrated into the building's design.
  • Utilize BIM software to develop intelligent models that capture both geometric and non-geometric data about building components. This facilitates coordination and collaboration among different project disciplines.
  • Maintain and update CAD drawings as design changes occur throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that all drawings reflect the most current design information.
  • Assist in coordinating design efforts with various project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers.
  • Ensure that CAD designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
