BMS Engineer - #1690145

Our client are a modular Construction specialist and looking for an experienced Building Technology Engineer to provide advice and support on all aspects of Building Technology design with a focus on Building Automation & Controls Systems (BACS).

They are seeking a hands-on individual with a can-do approach to projects delivery.

What you will be responsible for:

You will assist on the development of the Building Technology system architecture using open and well-established protocols such as but not limited to KNX, ModBus and BACnet. You will be able to use building automation logic using FBD or LUA.

• Undertake a review of existing design and develop proposals to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the building services systems and BACS
• Follow and assist in the development of the BACS system architecture and complete the detail design including drawings, schematics, control panel schedules O&M Manuals and documentation for the successful delivery of projects
• Review design documents, drawings and specifications, BACS sequences and equipment submittals and ensure their fitness for purpose
• When BACS are delivered by REDS10 suppliers ensure programming, set up, installation, testing, and commission of systems is completed to the required standards and protocols
• Ensure installation, testing, and commission of building services systems is completed to the required standards and protocols and that all documentation are in place.
• Co-ordinate installers, sub-contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet client requirement for the monitoring, alerting and control of buildings, are completed on time, on budget and in accordance with relevant standards
• Factory Approved Testing (FAT), programming and commissioning of BACS software and hardware

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc in Building Services / Building Technology (Automation) (Essential)
• KNX (ETS software) with over 5 years working experience in Commercial, Residential and Educational projects (Essential)
• Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced Building Technology role within a growing business. (Preferred)
• Experience of supporting managers in both office and factory / site environments. (Preferred)
