School of Sexuality Education is a charity looking to appoint up to 2 Trustees who share our values. We have grown rapidly over the past 8 years and now employ a small team that deliver relationships & sex education programmes nationally.

Our trustees support our work and help us achieve our purpose to improve young people's physical health and emotional wellbeing, and give them the critical tools to develop or defend a more socially just society. As a trustee of a small charity, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the organisation.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for people with at least 3 years experience in their field. For example you may have experience in - PR Charities and governance HR Law Senior leadership experience in a large charity Finance and accounting. Skills and qualities we are looking for are - Willingness and ability to understand and accept their responsibilities and liabilities as trustees and to act in the best interests of the organisation. Ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good, independent judgement and work effectively as a board member. Effective communication skills and willingness to participate actively in discussion. A strong personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. Enthusiasm for our vision and mission. Willingness to lead according to our values. Commitment to young people and inclusive relationships and sex education.

We have grown rapidly over the past eight years and now employ a small team that works to deliver relationships and sex education programmes on a national scale. We are looking for new Trustees who can fill the skills gaps, as well as contribute new ideas, thereby strengthening and complementing the existing skills base of the Board. We are looking for people with at least 3 years experience in their field. For example you may have experience in - PR Charities and governance HR Law Senior leadership experience in a large charity Finance and accounting. School of Sexuality Education is looking for candidates who can help consolidate our existing operations as well as scaling further. We are interested in candidates from a range of backgrounds. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have lived experience of racism, ableism and/ or transmisogyny. This is because people with these experiences are underrepresented in the charities and the relationships and sex education sector. Our values are important to us and we expect our team including Trustees to model our approach of inclusivity and passion for social justice. As a charity working with young people all team members must understand the importance of safeguarding children.
