Senior Reinsurance Technician - #1692155

Oliver James are currently recruiting for a Senior Reinsurance Technician with one of our clients in London. This is a permanent position where you will work directly with both the Head of Reinsurance and Reinsurance Manager.

For This Role You Will Need

• To have worked in an insurance company , if you have worked in an insurance company and a broker this will also be considered.
• A strong experience and knowledge of inwards and outwards reinsurance.
• To have experience working with accounting General ledger systems, SUN knowledge preferred.
• To understand regulatory reporting such as CAA and Solvency II.
• The ability to communicate financial and non financial findings.
  
  

Should you meet the above criteria you will get the opportunity to be involved with the below responsibilities:

• Create presentations for internal and external parties such as our Broker(s) and Reinsurers.
• Lead and Manage the production and Co-ordination of market standard questionnaires for purchasing / renewing the corporate insurance and reinsurance programmes, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.Act as Business partner between internal and external parties (Broker, Reinsurers and Insurers) in relation to managing the large loss claims (New Notifications, Updates, JSM, Collection Note requests), credit control and premium adjustments.
• Review the claims data, cross reference against known and reported large losses to ensure reporting (including reinsurance reporting) criteria is met.
• Support the Head of Reinsurance and Reinsurance Manager in the execution and implementation of Reinsurance and delivery of programmes; to protect the groups solvency and reduce cost of capital.
• Be the principal owner of the Reinsurance Technical Database, Contract management, Monthly FI report for claims recovery, Credit Rating monitoring, Collection requests and providing MI Reporting.
• Provide support for Finance projects, including IFRS 17 and continuous process improvements to automate and streamline processes with a view to improving the accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Lead with reinsurance data preparation for internal and regulatory returns; to comply to local regulatory bodies across Europe (SII, CAA, PRA and internal reporting).
