Quality Manager | 3 days Hybrid in Marylebone

About the Role:

Our Quality Manager will support Free Soul to deliver technical excellence in product integrity, packaging and labelling by overseeing the food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance across the UK, EU, and US retail & D2C markets, as well as supplier management in UK, EU and Asia.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage Free Soul supplier relationships across in the UK, EU & Asia, ensuring adherence to food safety, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, allergen assessments and supplier evaluations throughout the Free Soul co-manufacturers ensuring compliance to the Free Soul food safety management system
  • Ensure product compliance with in country legislation including Novel Food Regulations, UK, EU, and US nutritional labelling laws and Nutrition & Health Claims
  • Alongside the supply chain team, aid sourcing and approval process for new ingredients and manufacturers.
  • Manage inhouse & 3rd party testing programmes to monitor product safety, quality, authenticity and consistency.
  • Optimise supplier quality performance, working closely with procurement and R&D teams.
  • Manage Root cause analysis process for product/supplier non conformances.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in food retail or manufacturing.
  • Expertise in HACCP, BRC, and ideally FSMA.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with autonomy.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
