The Director, International eCommerce will guide growth in markets outside of North America, elevating the e.l.f. Cosmetics and e.l.f. SKIN brands on direct-to-consumer channels.
Responsibilities:
International Digital Revenue Growth and Content Optimization
- Responsible for the ongoing revenue growth from international online direct channels, including elfcosmetics.co.uk and elfcosmetics.com/EU, TikTok Shop and any future direct implementations
- Provide strategic guidance re. digital retailer optimization and expansion for markets outside of North America, in partnership with Global eCommerce Lead and International Business Development lead
- Lead TikTok Shop operations for all non-North American markets, overseeing backend setup, merchandising, content strategy alignment, fulfillment logistics, and revenue growth initiatives
- Identify opportunities for future direct implementation, outlining pros and cons for shifting from a cross-border to a direct model
- Drive localization strategy by market, building a test and learn strategy and identifying and tracking cost/benefit impact
- Develop a comprehensive international digital merchandising strategy in partnership with Global eCommerce lead, including optimization of brand and campaign stories, educational content, and user journeys
- Build relationship with cross-border vendor, identifying opportunities for improving new user acquisition and revenue growth within our cross-border markets outside of North America. Partner with Global eCommerce lead to assess if current cross-border partnership should evolve
- Partner with SEO lead to identify opportunities to drive additional organic traffic to our sites outside of North America
- Identify opportunities to tailor the D2C promotional and content strategy for top markets, including TikTok Shop highlighting eventized moments by market to drive incremental revenue
- Close partnership with e.l.f.’s mobile app owner to drive incremental purchases across all D2C channels
- Identify opportunities to make online channels outside of North America more profitable (contribution margin)
- Provide S&OP and P&L guidance for e.l.f. direct channels outside of North America
- Build strong collaborative partnership with Operations team, implementing process and procedures that optimize forecasting for international markets and increases operational efficiencies
- Management of direct campaign reporting for UK, EU, and non-Canadian cross-border markets as well as weekly international performance reports
- Partner with Integrated Marketing and Paid Media team to identify new audiences to target by market and optimize top-of-funnel and down funnel channels driving conversions to e.l.f.’s direct sites outside of North America
- Partner with CRM lead to identify incremental opportunities to improve retention and conversions by market
- Close collaboration with UX and CRM to identify opportunities for personalization and targeted A/B tests across different segments by market
- 10+ years of ecommerce experience. Experience with UK and European markets and TikTok Shop critical
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in driving the reach and growth of a consumer-packaged goods brand in the digital space
- Understanding of Amazon.com and broader retailer.com ecosystem strongly preferred
- Experience with forecasting and managing a complex assortment strategy for a brand with thousands of skus in market
- Comfortable presenting and communicating with internal senior executives
- High energy and capable of multi-tasking and context-switching with ease in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and highly collaborative environment
- Proven ability to leverage analytics and apply data-driven approach to digital planning and optimization that delivers on business outcomes
- Experienced with Commerce tools such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Experienced with analytics and BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tabs Analytics, and Google Analytics (GA4)
- Process-driven and extremely detail-oriented
- Bachelor’s degree required
