The opportunity for you
We are looking for an experienced events professional to join our busy Events and Strategic Partnerships team as soon as possible. This is an exciting and influential role to support our strategic drive to design and deliver bold, creative, and distinctive experiences for our clients and internal audiences - events and activities which challenge expectations and help Taylor Wessing to stand out in the market. The role will work alongside our sector and practice areas offering guidance on going to market with the right event, in the best format, at the most effective time.
Alongside day-to day management of a pipeline of events and activities, the Senior Events & Strategic Partnerships Executive will have the opportunity to work with our flagship sponsorships and key partnerships, including the annual Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize with the National Portrait Gallery.

Alongside day-to day management of a pipeline of events and activities, the Senior Events & Strategic Partnerships Executive will have the opportunity to work with our flagship sponsorships and key partnerships, including the annual Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize with the National Portrait Gallery.
Key responsibilities
- Create and deliver external and internal events and sponsorship-related activities, managing directly from implementation to completion, and supporting team members on others. Events include conferences, seminars, round tables, webinars, drinks receptions and hospitality events within the UK and internationally.
- Support and assist key firmwide large scale events, e.g. partner conferences and other international sector and practice group events.
- Ensure all events and sponsorship related collateral is consistent with the firm's brand guidelines and maintaining quality control of print process.
- Source and contract both UK and international venues.
- Ensure all event budgets are set and maintained correctly, working with Finance to ensure accurate reporting
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including negotiation on costs.
- Measure the impact of our events and sponsorships and ensure timely reporting; analyse trends and patterns in event statistics to ensure the most effective strategies are followed.
- Manage the CRM system to assist in targeting and event invite/attendance analysis.
- Coordinate with Digital team to ensure that events are communicated appropriately using a variety of channels such as the website, intranet, and social media.
- Work closely with key stakeholders in the practice and business development teams to understand specific needs and advise on options for future events and sponsorships to help the firm meet its strategic objectives.
- Be a 'centre of excellence' and advocate for best practice events marketing.
- Implement event team processes when necessary.
- Adopt good project management techniques and best practice.
- Manage ad-hoc projects as advised by Events and Strategic Partnerships Manager.
- Guide and support the Events Executive and Business Development Assistants.
The individual will need to be self-motivated, proactive and tenacious. He/she will need to establish an effective working relationship with the Events team, Business Development team, Partners and other business functions. The individual will need:
- A proven track record of delivering in-person and virtual events of all sizes within a corporate environment, preferably within legal/professional services, both in the UK and internationally.
- Experience managing event and marketing systems including Vuture and ON24. Experience with Monday.com would be desirable.
- Experience managing delegate online registration or a CRM system.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with event suppliers in the UK and Europe including 3rd parties, venues, agencies and external vendors.
- Managing end-to-end event budgets including processing and reconciling invoices and accurate and timely post-event budget reconciliation.
- Experience managing all related event collateral and responsibilities (including agendas, badges, invitations, onsite or virtual schedules, event plans, accommodation and travel).
- Proven experience providing details post event evaluation, budget analysis with a focus on ROI.
