A dedicated and engaging teacher of Religious Education (KS4) and Geography (KS3) is required to join the Humanities department of an Outstanding co-educational secondary academy in North Wembley (Brent), commencing a permanent full-time position in September. This high-achieving school has a well-established reputation for academic excellence and has consistently been the highest-performing non-denominational school in the borough for the past five years.
Responsibilities
- They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to Key Stage 4 students and Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 students.
- The role involves fostering an understanding of diverse religious and ethical perspectives, as well as geographical concepts, within a structured learning environment.
- They will contribute to a strong work ethic within a learning community that prioritises high-quality teaching across the curriculum.
- Assessment and monitoring of student progress in both Religious Education and Geography, along with providing feedback, will be required.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Religious Education and/or Geography is essential.
- A passion for both subjects and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential are crucial.
- Experience teaching Religious Education at KS4 and Geography at KS3 is desirable.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
