Role Overview:We’re seeking a Site Manager who is hands-on, organised, and confident in leading teams and subcontractors on residential construction projects. This is a pivotal role requiring a strong communicator with a practical approach to solving problems, ensuring compliance, and keeping the site moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors, leading by example
• Make confident, timely decisions and provide clear direction to all personnel
• Communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Actively listen, manage conflict, and maintain a positive site environment
• Ensure all work is compliant with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate site records and reports
• Plan and schedule labour, materials, and equipment to avoid delays
• Resolve technical issues and assess site conditions to adapt plans accordingly
• Monitor and uphold quality control throughout the build
• Minimise waste and maintain tight cost control
• Keep projects on schedule through careful planning and daily execution
• Enforce site safety protocols rigorously at all times
• Adjust team strategies in response to changes in weather, site conditions, or design revisions

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential refurbishment or fit-out projects
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and efficiently
• Trade background (e.g. carpentry) is desirable
