Maintenance Support Operative - #1719012

Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development, building services and construction groups, are seeking to hire a committed individual to join their hard services maintenance team based in a significant MOD location in Whitehall. The role will see you assist in various maintenance duties , escorting sub-contractors and develop electrical testing skills

What you will be doing :

• Quickly learn (with training) to carry out portable appliance testing including recording of results in a digital format
• Carry out security escorting duties to Sub Contractors ensuring site security rules and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Reactive Maintenance and extra work requirements in adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA requirement.
• Fault Finding and plant adjustments.
• Execution of maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification.
• Respond to re-active works.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• You will be a reliable worker , someone who is open to learn new skills if you are not already an electrical tester
• Health & Safety IOSH qualification or similar
• Forward thinking pro-active approach
• Be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues and clients at varying levels.
• Client Customer facing experience
• Be able to hold and maintain DV STRAP security clearance - for this we need sole UK citizenship and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years
