Description
Software Instructor
Spektrix is a growing collection of creative problem solvers focused around the arts and technology whose mission is to help arts organisations be more successful. We’re doing this through a combination of cloud-based software and consultative customer support that empowers arts organisations to grow revenue, increase efficiency, and build stronger relationships with audiences. We are always looking for new ways to approach problems, share knowledge, and better serve our customers. You’d be joining a team of over 250, based across our New York, London and Manchester offices and working with over 700 arts organisations in North America and the UK.
The goal of our education curriculum is to equip Spektrix users with the knowledge needed to support their organisation's mission. We’ve begun an extensive project to transform all of our user resources into a cohesive education platform. To do this we’re re-imagining how we present content, providing more and better learning opportunities and easy to find, simple to use answers.
The role
This role is focused on enabling Spektrix users globally. The majority of time will be spent facilitating engaging and hands-on virtual software classes. There will also be time spent building and maintaining the courses and delivering them in person to both clients and internal resources.
This role is part of the Global User Education & Resources team whose focus is to create and deliver content as efficiently and effectively as possible that enables our users. This includes writing Support Centre articles, as well as the creation & delivery of instructor-led and self-serve eLearning modules. The instructor-led classes primarily cover how to use our system and may, in time, incorporate best practices and arts & culture sector expertise. The goal is knowledge retention, which we achieve by creating learning experiences that are highly interactive with hands-on activities, discussion and application scenarios.
We’re seeking an individual with a true passion for teaching adult learners and for the arts & culture sector. In addition to being engaging facilitators, Spektrix instructors need to be extremely tech savvy and love to solve problems.
This role may require travel to client venues to deliver on-site training and regular travel to a hub office within your region (London or Manchester). There may also be occasional international trips. Exact working hours will vary depending on class requirements. UK based Software Instructors may occasionally have to cover early evening classes starting at 6pm (UK time) with the day finishing around 8pm.
