Senior Project Manager (Data-Centre Construction) Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 + Excellent Package Location: London Docklands Headlines We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in base build or heavy industrial construction to lead the design and construction of a new nine-storey data centre in London Docklands. This £230 million, three-year project offers the opportunity to manage a high-profile development from inception to completion, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.​ Your Next Job – What You’ll Be Doing As the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project, including:
  • Developing and managing project plans, budgets, and schedules.​
  • Leading project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure timely and quality delivery.​
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.​
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.​
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.​
Your Next Employer – Where You’ll Be Doing It Our client is a leading construction firm known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. They are currently managing the construction of a new nine-storey data centre in London Docklands. The project features large diameter pile installation, ground beam substructure and pile caps, heavy structural steel frame, composite cladding and outer rainscreen, precast concrete central core areas, MEP infrastructure, full fit-out of data halls on Levels 1 & 2 with associated plant, below ground drainage and critical services infrastructure, external works, a Link Bridge to the existing campus north building, and the construction of a single-storey security gatehouse. Joining this project offers the opportunity to work on a landmark development that will enhance your professional portfolio.​ Requirements & Rewards – What You Give & What You Get Back To excel in this role, you should have:
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.​
  • 8+ years of experience managing base build or heavy industrial projects, preferably within live environments.​
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage project teams and stakeholders.​
  • A thorough understanding of construction processes, contracts, and health and safety regulations.​
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.​
