Junior Data Analyst – Google Sheets

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Analyst to support our risk management team by extracting and compiling data for monthly risk reports. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their data career who wants to develop their skills in SQL, Google Sheets, and working with large datasets like those in BigQuery, while gaining exposure to risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in extracting data from the central Risk system using SQL queries.
• Compile and organize data manually into monthly risk management reports using Google Sheets.
• Work closely with senior team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Learn to handle large datasets using BigQuery under guidance.
• Maintain strong attention to detail in all data-related tasks.
• Support ongoing efforts to improve reporting processes within the team.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Basic experience with SQL and comfort writing simple queries
• Proficiency in Google Sheets including functions and data organization.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in BigQuery or similar data platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Some familiarity or interest in risk management or financial services.
• Exposure to or interest in data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience or coursework involving data analysis or reporting.
