Position Summary
The People Business Partner drives and implements People initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness, develop workforce capability, and strengthen team talent, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the People function to positively impact overall business performance. This role requires a commitment to working closely with business unit managers and leaders to foster a high-performance culture and contribute to the company’s success. The People Business Partner supports Metrea Management (MAM) People processes, policies, and procedures, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Role And Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor, leveraging a consultative approach to guide business leaders on policies, procedures, and complex employment matters.
- Advocate for an exceptional employee experience, overseeing onboarding and benefits processes to drive engagement, retention, and compliance.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and exits, balancing risk with business needs.
- Develop, coach, and support the Employee Relations, handling day to day challenges effectively.
- Ensure compliance and governance, embedding strong operational controls and aligning People practices with employment legislation.
- Champion learning and development, ensuring employees have access to training that enhances capability, compliance, and performance.
- Continuously refine People processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and embedding best-practice HR solutions.
- Partner with key stakeholders to shape and influence People initiatives that drive organisational effectiveness and align with business priorities.
- Proactively identify and address workforce challenges, using data-driven insights to support decision-making and enhance employee engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement, streamlining People operations and embedding efficiencies that enhance the employee experience.
- Proven expertise in UK employment law, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation in a business context. Experience managing employment matters across Europe or in an international environment is highly desirable.
- Strong consultative and advisory skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and support business leaders in driving people strategies.
- Ability to operate in a fast paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Experience leading and executing People initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality, ensuring accuracy and consistency in People processes.
- Collaborative mindset, fostering strong partnerships across teams and promoting a culture of cooperation and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality, managing sensitive employee matters with professionalism and integrity.
