Job Title: Consultant – Havering Mental Health and Wellness Team Location: North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) – Havering Pay Rate: £120 per hour LTD (Inclusive via Direct Engagement) Contract Type: Long-Term NHS Locum Contract Start Date: ASAP Working Pattern: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered) Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Havering Mental Health and Wellness Team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT). This long-term locum position offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality psychiatric care within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team supporting adult mental health services in the community. This role is offered via Direct Engagement with a competitive all-inclusive LTD rate of £120 per hour. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team managing patients with complex mental health conditions.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate treatment plans, and manage ongoing care for service users.
- Participate in regular MDT meetings, case reviews, and care planning processes.
- Support the development and delivery of integrated care pathways across primary and secondary services.
- Engage in clinical governance, audit, and service development activities.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry (or equivalent experience).
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven experience at Consultant level in community or adult mental health settings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- £120 per hour LTD (Inclusive via Direct Engagement)
- Long-term NHS contract with the potential for extension
