We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded preparatory school in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to support young learners at a key stage in their development, working within a nurturing and high-achieving environment.
Key Responsibilities for EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- Support children in achieving key early learning goals, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage independence, curiosity, and active engagement in classroom activities.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist the class teacher with daily routines, behaviour management, and the implementation of creative and structured learning activities.
- Provide tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met within an inclusive classroom environment.
- Use clear and confident communication to aid understanding and interaction among pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with young children, ideally within an EYFS setting, and with supporting children with SEN.
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, EYFS certification, or a degree in a related field (e.g., Early Childhood Studies, Psychology, Education).
- Be warm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for early years education.
- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
Graduates with relevant experience or an interest in pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply.
