What is the purpose of this role in the delivery of our mission?
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the key function of this role is to ensure all accounting entries are recorded accurately – running Accounts Payable, through to performing our Month and Year End close for the Orbital Group.

What is the purpose of this role in the delivery of our mission?
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the key function of this role is to ensure all accounting entries are recorded accurately – running Accounts Payable, through to performing our Month and Year End close for the Orbital Group.
What are the key responsibilities of the role?
- Ensuring all financial elements (Assets, Liabilities, Income, and Expenditure) are correctly accounted for within a robust control environment
- Prepare weekly pay-runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing Invoices and recording expenses
- Reconciliation of inter-company accounts, including raising any inter-company charges
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Booking of Revenue and ensuring entries are booked to the correct legal entity
- Assist with publishing timely monthly financial information and variance analysis
- Assist with the year-end statutory accounts and audit
- Ad hoc project work as required by a growing business
- Preparation of weekly pay runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Management Accounts preparation
- Ownership of key Legal Entities
- Ensure the financial integrity and accuracy of the Orbital Group's financial records
the role?
- Degree level education, and working towards a professional qualification in
- Accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- 3+ years of Management accounting experience
- Strong grounding in Accounts Payable
- Strong skills and experience with accounting software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace
- Strong technical skills and financial reporting knowledge
- A love of data, technology and analytics.
- The ability to contribute individually, as well as part of the team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently both verbally and in writing with an international and diverse team
- Can work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment. Adaptability to change, comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute against commitments

- Experience with Xero is highly desirable
- Experience working with Cryptocurrencies would be viewed favourably
- Experience of Fintech industry
- Self-starter - able to approach other members of the business to proactively get
