Amazon
Date: 1 day ago
City: London
Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day

Description
You will serve as a member of Capacity Strategy and Insight within AMZL EU Launch and Expansion, the team responsible for growing Amazon’s last mile delivery capability across Europe. Our network of delivery stations spans 9 countries, and you will be helping to plan its future. You’ll be working out where we launch new buildings, and where we invest in existing ones. You’ll be taking into account all the latest innovation that other teams are developing, and the changing needs and expectations of Amazon’s customers. You’ll use that to set out the future shape of our last mile delivery network. And you’ll be constantly innovating and inventing to make your own job easier, and let you scale your impact.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Lifecycle Planning PM, you’ll be based in one of our corporate offices and will own the strategic plans for one or more countries. You’ll look ahead across the next 3-6 years to identify risks in our plans, and lead matrixed cross-functional teams to address those risks. You’ll also work to continuously improve the completeness of those plans, folding in new products and services, and increasing the resilience and granularity of the way we are thinking. You will be using a combination of leadership, analytical skills, stakeholder management, business judgment, and strategic thinking to solve on behalf of our customers. You’ll be partnering with a diverse range of teams across AMZL to develop the processes and mechanisms that will enable us to achieve our business objectives.
About The Team
You click on your screen, and next day an Amazon parcel arrives at your doorstep. It must be magic, right? Well, not entirely. It’s a mixture of precision, invention, and world class supply chain logistics. It’s a host of teams working closely together to deliver a slick experience for our customers. It’s the use of data to understand what’s going to be needed and making sure we’re ready to handle the demand. It’s paying attention to the detail whilst also having a really good understanding of the big picture. And this role plays a big part in making it happen.
