We are looking to employ an enthusiastic Senior Clinical Scientist or Clinical Fellow to work within our team in Clinical Biochemistry at Synnovis. Synnovis is comprised of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, King’s College Hospital and the Princess Royal University Hospital alongside the Synnovis hub laboratory in Blackfriars. You will be based at St Thomas’ Hospital but in order to meet the needs of the Trust’s services you will be required to work at Guy’s Hospital, the Synnovis hub and Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.
As part of the ongoing transformation of core services across Synnovis, the post holder will be encouraged to build on and improve existing relationships in the Blood Sciences Laboratories across Synnovis hospital sites.
The post holder will be required to work with the Strategic Clinical Lead for Biochemistry, Consultant Clinical Scientists and Operations Managers to provide a comprehensive scientific service including participation in the departmental Duty Biochemist rota, as well as providing expertise and input for queries relating to the Biochemistry Laboratories in Synnovis.
You will have a suite of learning opportunities available through The Synnovis Way Development programme, the Scientific Learning and Development Fund and the Synnovis Academy through which you can receive funding / support for advanced qualifications.
This is managed between you and your line manager in line with your own personal and professional development ambitions.
You can apply for finance to drive innovation and service development for the benefit of patients through our Innovation Accelerator Fund.
