Monsoon Childrenswear ensures to deliver fun, uniqueness and quality to our customers. A heritage running back to 1995, Childrenswear has found its own voice and we encourage passionate and talented people to join this team.

We are looking for a Print and Graphic Designer to cover maternity leave, working within our wider design team, focusing on developing our Monsoon Children’s print range from concept stage to production, working across multi product categories.

You will be …

• Owning Print and Graphic Design Development for Monsoon Childrenswear.
• Researching current and future print trends to drive newness whilst keeping to the MonsoonMonsoon Childrenswear Print Designer Mat cover ad[42] 1 handwriting.
• Design, develop and brief varied print artworks. Using a variety of mediums, including hand painting as well as Photoshop and Illustrator.
• You’ll draw influences from a wide range of sources – from vintage artworks through to seasonal global trends and catwalks
• Sending out print packs, colour standards and artworks to suppliers
• Managing the delivery of the print Critical Path. Keeping organised and focused to ensure product is developed within the relevant timeframe.
• Working alongside the buying teams reacting to trade information.
• Proactively respond to the changing needs of the business and day-to-day challenges to ensure delivery of the product ranges to the customer
• Managing Freelance print support
• Managing Print Design Assistant
  
  

We’d love to meet, someone with…

• Previous Print Designer level experience for an aspirational brand or a similar High Street Retailer
• Exceptional print design skills with a strong skill set in order to design for different print methods. For example, a good knowledge of rotary size print repeats, factory colour limitations and able to colour index prints with ease. Ability to design with complex repeats including the need for 2 way prints or large repeat tiles.
• Computer Skills: To include Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Good hand painting skills and the ability to be versatile. Evidence of this in your portfolio is essential.
• Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the Monsoon Children’s brand customer
• Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend print eye
• Experience of managing a critical path. Strong time management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
• Skills to work automatously as well as in a small team. Alongside managing a Print Design Assistant
• A passion for designing prints and graphics for childrenswear product
