University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Date: 1 day ago
City: London
Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day

University College London Hospital NHS Trust (UCLH) is looking for qualified and enthusiastic applicants for the posts of Clinical Fellows (ST1-3). This is an exciting opportunity to gain tertiary medical neonatal intensive care experience working in the heart of central London at UCLH. These appointments are for 12 months.
The UCLH Neonatal unit is the primary referral centre for neonatal intensive care (a level 3 unit with 21 ITU and HDU cots) for the North Central London Perinatal Network, and provides a full range of intensive care for the sickest and most vulnerable babies. We specialise in Neonatal Neuro-Critical Care and we are a regional centre for therapeutic hypothermia (cooling). We work in partnership with our UCLH Fetal Medicine Unit, a regional and international referral centre for complex pregnancies, and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), specialist paediatric hospital, to collaboratively care for babies with complex conditions.
The successful candidates will join the multidisciplinary neonatal team, with an international reputation in excellent care, education and research. Successful candidates will be encouraged to contribute to high quality service development.
UCLH’s neonatal unit has been rated in the GMC survey as one of the top London Hospitals for neonatal training in 2017, and is consistently rated as “one of the best placements ever” by doctors. We have an excellent track record of helping doctors get appointed to specialty and sub-specialty training programmes.
Successful applicants will benefit from the Unit’s extensive teaching programme and the excellent clinical experience on offer. We welcome applications from budding paediatricians at FY3 level.
All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration at time of appointment.
