What We Are Looking For...

The supply chain development team is responsible for the setting and delivery of strategy within River Island supply chain. The team works with internal & external stakeholders to define, design and deliver change projects across the supply chain.

The development analyst – supply chain will be responsible for initiating continuous improvement efforts using Lean and other business process improvement tools, developing a systemic approach to improving supply chain performance and managing the supply chain continuous improvement process.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manages and facilitates process improvement through techniques such as stakeholder engagement, Lean principles, systems, and design thinking.
  • Identifies and prioritises process improvement initiatives that focus on enhanced efficiency, and increased productivity and customer service through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Analyses effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Conducts data planning, collection, analysis, and/or reporting for analysis during process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify key performance metrics for monitoring and tracking ongoing savings compared to benefits cases. Provide insight and report on effectiveness of improvements.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable process improvements.
  • Leads or supports project teams to revise, roll-out, and validate future-state work.
  • Performs project management for multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Adhere to all change governance principles and ensure all necessary documentation, plans and stage gates/sign off points are adhered to.
  • Develops relationships with customers and maintains active engagement during process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout River Island to develop strong stakeholder relationships to deliver all elements of change activity.
  • Facilitate and contribute to workshop sessions including notetaking, recording actions and distributing follow up communications and driving action plans.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate supply chain teams on new processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance across the supply chain.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure effective implementation and adoption of process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the supply chain organisation.
  • Take responsibility for personal development, staying up to date with the latest industry standards.
Key experience required:
  • 3 years + experience of working in fashion supply chain.
  • Project management experience.
  • Process definition & design.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement frameworks.
  • Data analysis
