Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting New Clients:
- Identify and research potential clients within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and attract new business opportunities.
- Conduct outreach activities including cold calls, emails, and networking.
- Learning Technical Details:
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of biologics drug substance manufacturing processes.
- Understand the technical requirements and specifications of biologics drug substances.
- Collaborate with technical teams to stay updated on industry advancements and innovations.
- Sourcing Proposals:
- Prepare and source detailed proposals tailored to client needs and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and compelling proposal content.
- Assist in the negotiation and closing of deals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Act as a liaison between the company and clients to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company’s offerings.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Analyze data to advise business development strategies and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the biopharmaceutical industry, preferably with a focus on biologics.
- Strong understanding or willingness to learn biologics drug manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
