The Role: KS1 Teacher – Croydon

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where young learners can develop their academic and life skills within your classroom. You will have the opportunity to create strong relationships with students and challenge students to develop problem solving skills.

You will plan and present engaging and creative lesson to students of varied abilities and needs following the National curriculum for KS1 students. You will be working at a supportive Primary School which fosters an inclusive environment and aids staff progression, working to provide staff with an excellent working environment.

As a KS1 Teacher you will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment.
• Implement school behaviours policies and manage classroom behaviours effectively.
• Regularly assess student progress through observation, marking, tests, and formative assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of each pupil’s development.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external specialists when needed

Qualifications and requirements – KS1 Teacher – Croydon

• QTS is required
• Enhanced DBS is required
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
