We are on the hunt for a Social & Community Channel Manager to join the Reach Studio team, overseeing the channel management and video publishing across the social platforms for Reach’s new brand, All Out Football.
We are partnering with a high profile brand to bring this new channel to life. Consequently, you will be able to contribute significantly to the broader creative direction, assisting in defining the tone of the channel with your expertise in channel management, obsession with data and flair for creating great thumbnails.
Reach Studio launched last year and is a unique blend of editorial and commercial talent, serving multimedia content to both our audiences and advertising partners. Our dynamic team is made up of highly skilled video producers, videographers, editors, designers and strategists. Reach Studio has already launched a variety of content and podcasts including our branded content Let’s Start Talking podcast, Mirror Gaming socials and an exclusive interview with Virgil van Dijk. From developing existing vodcasts to producing new video series’ and formats that our audiences will love, we want you to join us for what's next.
This is a hybrid position working from the Head Office in Canary Wharf 3 days per week, we are therefore open to candidates based in and around London. The typical working pattern is Monday to Friday but some flexibility around major events is required to keep our studio ahead of the curve.
Job Description
As a Social & Community Channel Manager, your key responsibilities will include managing and scheduling video content across our social and YouTube channels, as well as developing a consistent content plan in collaboration with senior producers and video editors. Additionally, you will create engaging thumbnails and write captivating headlines, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails to maximize discoverability and engagement.
You will be tasked with monitoring the performance of our video uploads, coordinating with key personnel to provide insights on content performance and potential opportunities. Staying updated with industry best practices and regularly monitoring the competitive landscape to identify any learnings will be key to your role.
You will oversee all YouTube management duties such as creating playlists, handling copyright issues, managing the community, placing manual ads, and maintaining a clear brand style across all video uploads.
Additionally, expertise in visual thumbnail design using software like Canva or Adobe, an eye for detail, and strong time management and organizational skills are important.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing social channels, with a strong focus on YouTube, and extensive experience in growing viewership and revenues using data to drive decisions.
An excellent understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for developing video assets is crucial. From vertical short-form to high quality longform on YouTube. Experience in social media management for brand, publisher, or creator accounts is required, along with strong writing and communication skills for engaging social copy.
You excel in using platform analytics to inform content plans and collaborate effectively with teams like Design, Editorial, and Strategy. A solid grasp of social and publishing strategies is vital.
