The Analyst’s role is key in the delivery of all our projects, undertaking analysis and research tasks, assembly of strategic insight for the reports and output produced for our clients, helping with set-up and ongoing project administration, and supporting the team to ensure successful outcomes. The role comprises analytical, research, communication (verbal and written), organisational, and administrative elements. Analysts should be articulate, insightful, organised, proactive, and perceptive individuals, who are suitable ambassadors for our company. A strategic mindset and proactive attitude, with a desire to develop a broad range of consulting skills is key to succeeding in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Understanding the client objectives and project deliverables, and help set-up projects internally in terms of workstream planning
- Attending client meetings as required, and accurately recording output of discussions
- Starting to develop capability for costing and planning projects, and understand project administration elements
- Co-ordinating meetings, data requests, and research requirements, as necessary
- Reviewing and maintaining a good awareness of data received
- Proactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering to agreed objectives in a timely fashion
- Efficient and effective assembly of report content, applying structured thinking
- Being accountable for accuracy and quality of all personal output
- Contributing to hypothesis generation process
- Understanding project hypotheses and project narrative
- Conducting analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
- Understanding principles and basics techniques of commercial analysis
- Desk research of macro-trends, commercial concepts, customer behaviour, and company performance
- Assisting with set-up, design and testing of all project research inputs
- Undertaking qualitative and quantitative research methods e.g. focus groups / online surveys
- Using analysis outputs to prove / disprove hypotheses and start to develop insights, solutions and recommendations
- Creating a professional impression at any client interaction
- Understanding Pragma's key services and how we add value
- Delivering Pragma elevator speech
- Developing relationships with junior members of client teams through project work and informal networks
- Writing Pragmatists articles (our external PR newsletter) and helping on white papers (our industry thought-leadership publications)
- Supporting proposal and pitch preparation
- Keeping up to date on industry trends and news
- Considering areas of personal interest for future expertise
- Presenting at internal company days
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thought, to assist in developing commercial strategies to improve performance of assets and operating brands/retailers
- Strong interest in consumer behaviour trends and purchasing patterns
- Strong interest in all aspects of the built environment and commercial property across a range of assets, from mixed-use, shopping centres, retail parks, airports, travel hubs, individual brands, operators, retail formats, and e-commerce
- Ability to work well in a team, communicating with and supporting other team members
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge about sectors and processes
- Enthusiastic, self-starting, professional attitude, and good timekeeping
- Suitable level of applicable computer programme skills e.g. Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
