Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes to the Ladurée standard.
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and cutting meats.
- Adhere to all nutrition, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Ensure timely and organised delivery of meals during service periods.
- Follow instructions and recipes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Efficiently multitask and move fluidly between different kitchen stations.
- Ensure all storage areas are kept clean, tidy, and properly organised.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves to ensure easy access and proper organisation.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and support.
- Remain calm, patient, and positive under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and deliver consistently high standards.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen health, safety, and sanitation standards, with the ability to follow all hygiene procedures diligently.
- Skilled in handling kitchen tools and utensils with care and precision; strong manual dexterity is essential.
- A willingness to learn, take direction, and continuously develop culinary skills in a high-standard environment.
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of teamwork.
- Passion for French cuisine and fine dining is a plus.
