The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to extract insights from complex datasets and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong foundation in data science techniques, programming, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business solutions.

Principal Accountabilities

• Apply advanced analytics techniques including mathematics, statistics, data mining, and predictive/prescriptive modeling to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and implement data science models using specialized programming languages and tools to solve business problems and optimize processes.
• Source, prepare, and clean data for analysis by identifying, validating, and integrating internal and external datasets.
• Formulate hypotheses and explore data using models and analytics sandboxes to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Evaluate and enhance model performance through continuous testing, validation, and refinement to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines are optimized for efficient model training and deployment.
• Communicate insights and findings to stakeholders through clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Work cross-functionally with business units to integrate data science solutions into operational workflows and strategic initiatives.
  
  

Skills and Competencies

Education & Experience

• M.Sc. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data science or similar analytical role.
• Experience with open-source data science tools and libraries.
• Familiarity with AWS and related cloud technologies.
• Experience with data governance and management best practices.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a plus.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, SageMaker).
• Familiarity with tools like Jupyter, Snowflake, Docker, and Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
