Housing Supply Manager - #2085076
The Square
MySquare is a fast-growing property operations and management company delivering design-led, tech-enabled living spaces across London. From short lets and corporate housing to co-living and long-stay rentals, we manage homes for a new generation of residents with evolving needs.
As part of TheSqua.re Group, we transform underused residential assets into flexible, high-performing homes. A key focus is offering unique spaces for unique needs — including accessible units, family-ready layouts, and short-notice emergency housing.
The Role: Housing Supply Manager
We’re hiring a Housing Supply Manager to lead leasing and management deal-making across London. Your role will focus on sourcing new properties, negotiating lease structures, and building strong relationships with landlords, developers, and agents.
You’ll also support emergency and social housing operations by helping us secure entire blocks or groups of units at short notice — typically on 3–12 month leases — for use in emergency relocations, decants, or crisis housing situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source & Secure Properties: Identify and evaluate leasing and management opportunities across Central and Greater London, including PRS, BTR, and developer portfolios.
- Champion Accessibility: Prioritise units that meet diverse requirements, including step-free access, mobility-friendly layouts, and adaptable interiors.
- Emergency Housing Supply: Build relationships with large landlords, developers, and block owners to secure flexible short-term block leases for emergency or decant housing needs.
- Landlord Engagement: Develop and manage relationships with agents, landlords, and institutional partners to unlock repeat leasing opportunities.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead lease negotiations to align terms with MySquare’s commercial model and operational requirements.
- Legal & Regulatory Oversight: Understand differences between corporate / company lets, and ASTs. Track and adapt to emerging UK rental legislation and compliance risks (e.g. Renters Reform Bill, EPC changes).
- Commercial & Operational Viability: Assess gross yields, occupancy potential, and serviceability of new units.
- Pipeline Reporting: Maintain accurate records of deal pipeline and performance, flagging risks and opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with legal, finance, and onboarding teams to deliver smooth handovers and compliance.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in leasing, acquisitions, or residential property asset management
- Knowledge of block leasing, emergency housing, or institutional landlord relations is a major plus
- Clear understanding of lease types, legal structures, and rental regulations
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to evaluate financial performance of units
- Well-developed network across Central London’s property market
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex deal flows
