The RoleAs a Development Executive, your primary focus will be generating new commercial insurance business across SME and mid-market clients. You'll develop relationships with prospective clients, identify opportunities for growth, and work closely with Account Executives to convert leads into long-term clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new commercial insurance business through networking, referrals, and self-generated leads
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across SME and mid-market clients
Present tailored insurance solutions to prospective clients
Work closely with Account Executives and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and introducers
Meet and exceed new business and income targets
Proven experience in a Development Executive or New Business role within commercial insurance
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and the UK market
Confident, proactive, and target-driven
Natural relationship-builder with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
ACII qualified or working towards (beneficial, not essential)
Comfortable working independently, whether in the office or remotely
£60,000 - £70,000 basic salary + bonus linked to new business performance
Flexible working options: Central London, Watford, or fully remote
Exposure to a wide range of commercial insurance clients and leading insurers
Clear progression into senior Development or Account Executive roles
