What role will you play?
You will provide independent operational risk oversight and constructive challenge across the Macquarie Asset Management business, partnering closely with business stakeholders and first line risk teams to ensure risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed. You will support the implementation and evolution of the operational risk management framework, review risk assessments, incidents and change initiatives, and provide insightful reporting that informs decision-making. Working with a diverse set of stakeholders across locations and levels of seniority, you will contribute to risk deep-dives, projects and broader non-financial risk initiatives, helping to drive a strong, embedded risk culture through advisory, analysis and collaboration. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require three days a week in our advertised location.
What you offer
- 3-6 years' experience in operational risk, audit or a related non-financial risk discipline within a financial services or professional services environment
- Understanding of operational risk frameworks and tools such as risk and control self-assessments and scenario analysis, with the ability to apply these in practice
- Exposure to areas such as technology risk, cyber risk, artificial intelligence risk or data and information security risk
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
- Proven organisational and problem-solving capability, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
