This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit or compliance professional looking to move away from client-facing work into a varied, strategic role that plays a key part in maintaining regulatory excellence across the firm.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help shape the firm's approach to ethics, audit compliance and enterprise risk management while providing technical guidance to teams across the business.

The Opportunity

The Risk & Compliance function is responsible for ensuring the firm meets its regulatory obligations while continually enhancing its governance, ethics and quality framework.

You'll work across a broad range of compliance activities including:

Supporting the firm's ISQM (UK) 1 framework and audit quality initiatives.
Advising partners and fee earners on ethical and regulatory matters.
Monitoring compliance with the FRC Ethical Standard and ICAEW Code of Ethics.
Assisting with external regulatory inspections and Practice Assurance visits.
Producing reports for senior leadership and governance committees.
Reviewing and enhancing firm-wide policies, procedures and guidance.
Preparing internal communications, technical updates and compliance briefings.
Delivering training in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.
Supporting strategic firmwide projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Undertaking targeted file reviews following identified risk events.
About You

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience gained within audit, audit quality, technical or risk & compliance in a professional services environment.

You'll also bring:

Strong understanding of audit regulation, ethics and professional standards.
Experience interpreting complex technical and regulatory requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The confidence to advise senior partners and leadership teams.
Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work to deadline.
A collaborative approach with a genuine interest in improving processes and driving best practice.
Technical Knowledge

Experience in several of the following areas would be advantageous:

ISQM (UK) 1
FRC Ethical Standard
ICAEW Code of Ethics
Audit Regulations
ICAEW Practice Assurance
International Standards on Auditing (UK)
UK GAAP
IFRS
Company Law

Why Apply?

This role offers the chance to become part of a highly regarded Risk & Compliance function where you'll have genuine influence across the business. You'll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment that encourages continuous development, technical excellence and innovation.

If you're looking to utilise your audit and technical expertise in a broader advisory role with excellent career prospects and work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you.
