Assistant Social Media & Content Marketing Manager – (12-month FTC)
We’re seeking an experienced professional to join as an Assistant Social Media & Content Marketing Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a key role within the UK Advertising & Marcomms team, supporting the Manager, Social Media & Content and Head of Social & Content. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of social and content marketing campaigns and business-as-usual (BAU) communications across our UK social media channels. You’ll help ensure our marketing communications are innovative, platform-specific, on-brand, cohesive, and designed to deliver against key business KPIs.
You’ll work closely with in-house specialist teams, digital teams, product and journey teams, external creative agencies, media planning agencies, and strategic partners to deliver outstanding campaigns and projects. You’ll also share best practice across the marketing community and keep abreast of emerging cultural and digital trends to help shape how we connect with customers, audiences, and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Manage the delivery of social and content marketing campaigns, from briefing through to execution, across multiple social media platforms and other content channels
- Support the strategic direction of content creation and delivery, from briefing to launch through to tracking and measurement
- Regularly produce, publish, and optimise organic social content across UK owned channels
- Work with business stakeholders to define campaign requirements and create compelling content briefs with clear objectives, targets, and KPIs
- Drive new ideas and concepts, gaining stakeholder buy-in and building internal relationships to extend the distribution of brand social content
- Manage campaign budgets efficiently to maximise ROI, ensuring activity is delivered to deadlines and within agreed creative budgets
- Own the creative strategy and execution across content briefs, requests, and campaigns
- Deliver regular campaign reporting, sharing actionable learnings and incorporating post-campaign insights into future briefs and activity development
- Gain compliance, legal, and brand sign-off for marketing activity, ensuring communications are consistent and compliant
What you’ll need to succeed
- Strong hands-on experience delivering campaigns across leading social platforms (including TikTok, Meta and Instagram)
- A strategic mindset, ensuring campaigns align to business, brand, and content strategy
- A highly creative approach, with the ability to develop relevant, contextual messaging that improves campaign and organic performance
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, able to lead multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of content marketing principles across multiple platforms
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and agency partners
- A collaborative, proactive team player with strong problem-solving ability and agility in changing environments
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in social media and content for a market-leading brand, with demonstrable delivery of impactful digital campaigns
Desirable
- Experience with influencer/creator marketing
