NEW ROLE | Group Reporting Accountant | London | 6 Months Contract to PERM

I'm currently recruiting for a Group Reporting Accountant to join a collaborative and fast-paced finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to senior stakeholders, investor reporting, and technical accounting within a dynamic group environment. This role is hybrid working based in London.

The Group Reporting Advisor leads the Group's external financial reporting process and acts as the resident IFRS 16 specialist, playing a central role in delivering accurate, timely, and fully compliant reporting to shareholders, bondholders and other external stakeholders. The role owns the shareholder financial reporting pack and group statutory financial statements end-to-end and is directly responsible for monitoring and evidencing compliance with bond covenants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on preparing the shareholder financial reporting pack, ensuring timely, accurate delivery for quarterly interims and investor queries.
  • Lead on delivery of group & subsidiary statutory financial statements, owning the process end-to-end from preparation through to submission.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of accurate deferred tax calculations while supporting assurance of the group deferred tax balances in compliance with IAS 12.
  • Act as the Group's IFRS 16 specialist, leading the accounting treatment and application of lease accounting across the business and advising other teams on technical positions.
  • Identify and lead automation and efficiency initiatives within the reporting cycle, improving controls and reducing manual effort where possible.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • 2 years + experience in financial reporting, ideally including exposure to group consolidation and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Practical, working knowledge of IFRS 16 is required.
  • Experience with bond covenant compliance or debt reporting is an advantage.
  • Oil & Gas or other complex, multi-entity group environment experience is an advantage.

You must have the right to work in the UK.
