Overview

At Susquehanna, quantitative researchers drive innovation from the centre of our trading floor. Leveraging expertise in probability, statistics, numerical analysis, stochastic optimisation, and machine learning, they play a pivotal role in developing and refining our trading strategies.

We are looking for recent or upcoming PhD and research master's graduates to join our quantitative research graduate programme. Run by a team of dedicated senior traders and quantitative researchers, our education programme is widely recognised as being the best in the industry. Don't worry if you don't come from a finance background - we will teach you everything you need to succeed.

A core strength of our graduate programme is that our education is complemented by hands-on trading games and project work. Through this work, graduates gain exposure to all phases of the work of quantitative researchers including problem conceptualisation, modelling, strategy back-testing and iteration, implementation, and monitoring.

What we're looking for

Research-minded: You enjoy diving deep into a question and building mathematical models to reveal patterns in vast amounts of data.

Analytical & detail-oriented: You approach problems with a curious and analytical mindset - building models, interpreting data, and uncovering insights with precision.

Clear communicator: You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with and are comfortable sharing ideas, expressing your thoughts, and listening to the views of others.

Soon-to-be research master's/PhD graduate or post-doc: You have completed research in a quantitative discipline and are available to join the graduate programme in June 2027.

What's in it for you:

Education: Our industry-leading education programme is designed to facilitate researchers' transition to the world of quantitative trading. You will attend classes covering a vast range of topics (Options Pricing, Machine Learning, Data Analysis Techniques, Game Theory... the list goes on!) from some of the most experienced employees in Susquehanna.

Collaboration: You will get to work with a wide range of people in the classroom and through your project work; people who share a passion for mathematics, problem-solving, game theory, and technology.

Culture: Our non-hierarchical, casual, and collaborative culture allows employees of every level to thrive.

Perks: We offer a highly competitive compensation package to our graduates. Located in our brand new office in London's city centre, our office features free onsite catering, a games room and dedicated education space.
