As a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor specialising in data centres, you'll focus on mechanical and electrical cost management within construction projects. Based in London ( or remotely, if desired ), you'll play a key role in ensuring budgets are managed effectively and costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.

Description

  • Manage all aspects of mechanical and electrical cost estimating and cost planning for data centre projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of project costs and provide accurate forecasts and budgets.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control project finances effectively.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contractor claims and variations.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in mechanical and electrical quantity surveying.
  • Support the team with post-contract cost management and final account settlements.

Profile

A successful Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • Proven expertise in mechanical and electrical quantity surveying within construction projects.
  • Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and costs effectively.
  • A relevant qualification in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices in MEP surveying.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
