VP M&A - Energy & Power, Utilities & Infrastructure M&A - global investment bank - Goodman Masson - #2112113

A leading investment banking name is expanding their London based Energy & Infrastructure group and eeking a VP (or Senior Associate) to oversee execution expertise and partner with seniors on origination. This is an exciting time for the platform as it receives significant investment and management attention.

In this capacity you will work closely with a senior banker focused on Traditional Energy (midstream and downstream), PUI, Transition. Clients are large corporate and infrastructure sponsors.

You will:

1. Key Contribution to the origination of transactions for EMEA M&A – preparation of marketing pitches; including in particular sector analysis, asset review, financial analysis, modelling and valuation; attendance at meetings, client facing.
2. Take an lead part in deal execution: process organization, modelling and valuation analysis, creation of transaction support documents (information memoranda and management presentations), interactions with other legal, financial and technical advisors, regular contact with clients

Desired experience includes:

1. Good knowledge of valuation and modelling techniques, as well as financial theory and accounting
2. Relevant sector experience - ideally a background exhibiting experience across traditional energy and PUI
3. Strong communication skills
4. Client facing capability
