I'm supporting a leading consultancy on a major Risk Reporting transformation programme with MUFG, one of the world's largest financial institutions. We're looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimise enterprise-scale semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions across a complex data environment.

I'm supporting a leading consultancy on a major Risk Reporting transformation programme with MUFG, one of the world's largest financial institutions. We're looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimise enterprise-scale semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions across a complex data environment.
What we're looking for
The ideal Power BI Developer will have:
- Expert-level experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Extensive experience building and maintaining enterprise semantic models
- Advanced DAX, data modelling, and performance optimisation expertise
- Strong understanding of VertiPaq, composite models, aggregations, and query tuning
- Hands-on experience implementing Incremental Refresh and dataset partitioning
- Experience with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, and XMLA endpoints
- Strong SQL and dimensional modelling skills
- Experience managing large-scale analytical datasets and reporting solutions
- Strong Python scripting experience for automation and semantic model refresh processes
- Experience with PowerShell, Power BI REST APIs, and administration
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Power BI Premium and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Financial Services or Risk Reporting experience
- Experience consuming data from Snowflake within Power BI
- Exposure to enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M
- Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies and/or dbt
- £600-£660 per day (Inside IR35)
- 6-month initial contract with potential extension
- Hybrid working with 3 days onsite in London (non-negotiable)
