Operational Risk Manager - Part-Time - #2114270

A wealth & asset management business is seeking to hire an Operational Risk Manager to join their business in a newly created role.

The role will manage the existing risk management framework, bringing fresh ideas to the business.

This role will be 3-days a week and salary on the advert will be pro-rated for the number of days worked.

Job Requirements

1. Support the maintenance and enhancement of the Operational Risk Framework, including the annual Business-Wide Risk Assessment (BWRA), ensuring it remains fit for the firm's size and regulatory obligations.
2. Facilitate bottom-up risk assessments across the business, reviewing and challenging departmental scoring to ensure consistency and identify emerging risks.
3. Maintain the Operational Risk Register, monitoring risk events, incidents and near misses to identify trends, root causes, and track mitigation actions to completion.
4. Prepare risk reporting, dashboards and MI for the Executive Risk and Compliance Committee (and Board where required), escalating material risks and control weaknesses to the Head of Risk.
5. Support the Operational Resilience programme and provide risk input into change initiatives, new products and third-party/outsourcing arrangements.
6. Contribute to the ICARA process and support responses to internal/external audit and regulatory findings.
7. Promote a positive risk culture by delivering awareness sessions and encouraging first-line ownership of risks and controls.
