Role Overview
As an Associate in the Private Financing Solutions team, you will play a key role in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of private credit and private capital transactions. You will collaborate with senior bankers, institutional investors, and internal partners to deliver tailored financing solutions that meet the strategic needs of clients. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a commercial mindset, along with the ability to operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Execution & Structuring- Support all stages of private financing transactions, including due diligence, financial analysis, structuring, documentation, and investor engagement.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including leveraged financing, structured equity, and cash flow analyses.
- Prepare high-quality client materials, including confidential information memoranda, lender presentations, investment committee materials, and transaction updates.
- Assist in negotiating transaction terms with clients, lenders, investors, and external advisors.
- Coordinate transaction workstreams and ensure timely execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Conduct market research, peer benchmarking, and capital markets analysis to identify financing opportunities and support business development efforts.
- Prepare client-facing pitch materials for prospective mandates across private credit, hybrid capital, and minority equity transactions.
- Monitor private capital markets trends and maintain knowledge of investor appetite and market dynamics.
- Support relationship development with private credit funds, institutional investors, family offices, and alternative capital providers.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients throughout transaction processes.
- Coordinate investor outreach efforts, manage diligence requests, and facilitate information flow between parties.
- Support management presentations, investor meetings, and financing discussions.
- Collaborate with sector coverage teams to deliver integrated advisory and financing solutions.
- Partner with legal, compliance, risk, and operations teams to facilitate transaction approvals and execution.
- Support senior bankers in pipeline management, strategic initiatives, and team development activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, materials, and market intelligence across the platform.
- 3–5 years of experience within investment banking, private credit, leveraged finance, corporate banking, capital advisory, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with experience building and reviewing complex capital structures.
- Understanding of private credit markets, institutional investor behaviour, financing structures, and capital solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality, client-ready materials.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, commercial judgement, and execution focus.
- A self-starter with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interest in private markets, alternative capital solutions, and complex financing situations.
