A well-established European investment banking platform is looking to appoint a French-speaking Analyst and Associate into their growing Generalist M&A team in London.

The platform is recognised for delivering high-quality advice across the UK mid-market, on a broad range of transactions including sell-side, buy-side, capital raises and strategic advisory. The team works across a variety of sectors, offering integrated, hands-on execution within a collaborative and high-performance environment.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic M&A practice with strong deal flow and meaningful responsibility from day one. The role offers direct exposure to senior stakeholders, including management teams, boards and investors, with the chance to work on complex transactions in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side and capital raising mandates
  2. Build and maintain detailed financial models, including three-statement and valuation models (DCF, LBO, comparables)
  3. Prepare high-quality marketing materials, including information memoranda, management presentations and teasers
  4. Conduct financial analysis, industry research and strategic assessments to support client advice
  5. Assist in managing due diligence processes and data rooms
  6. Coordinate with clients, investors, legal advisers and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
  7. Support senior team members in client interactions and project management
  8. Contribute to idea generation and origination efforts, including pitch materials and market analysis

Candidate Profile

  1. 1-4 years experience in investment banking
  2. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  4. Fluent in French
  5. Commercial awareness and interest in M&A and corporate finance
  6. Strong academic background
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  9. High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  10. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent are advantageous
