  • Work closely with architects, developers, platform engineers and operational teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to engineers across the team.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps, service improvements and strategic planning.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps and Agile best practices.
  • Support incident management activities, including major incident response and post-incident reviews.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support and release rota for a 24/7 production environment.
  • Ensure operational standards, governance requirements and service level commitments are consistently met

Required Experience

We're interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong experience across:

  • Production support within mission-critical or highly available environments.
  • Kubernetes and/or OpenShift platforms, particularly in on-premise environments.
  • Linux systems administration.
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • CI/CD tooling, ideally Jenkins.
  • Automation of build, deployment and release processes.
  • Monitoring, observability and platform reliability engineering.
  • Logging, metrics and alerting solutions including technologies such as:
  • ELK Stack
  • Splunk
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Leading or coordinating major incident response activities.
  • Working within Agile delivery environments and modern DevOps practices.
  • What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will bring:

  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A security-first approach to engineering and operations.
  • Experience balancing operational support with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong documentation, governance and change management practices.
  • The ability to thrive within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Relevant technical certifications across technologies such as Red Hat, Microsoft, Oracle, Kubernetes or Kafka.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
