Role: Finance Analyst - Temporary

Location: Holborn, London (Hybrid)

Salary: £50,000

Our client is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to partner with multiple business functions, provide impactful financial analysis, support strategic decision-making and contribute to forecasting and planning activities across an international fashion brand.

The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis while supporting senior stakeholders with valuable commercial insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Support long-term forecasting activities, including annual budget planning and growth strategies.
• Own the monthly forecasting process, including financial projections, reporting templates, data validation and reconciliations.
• Evaluate actual performance against forecasts and provide detailed variance analysis, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
• Deliver country and channel-level forecasting and analysis, working closely with operational and planning teams to identify trends and recommend commercial actions.

Business Partnering & Analysis

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
• Supply financial data and analysis to support strategic projects and presentations.
• Conduct financial simulations, scenario planning, and business case evaluations for investment opportunities.
• Provide guidance on financial systems, reporting, and processes across the business.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with statutory reporting requirements and other external reporting obligations.
• Support impairment testing processes and quarterly reporting activities.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information and reporting outputs.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and business planning.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to clearly articulate risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

Desirable

• Experience within Retail, Consumer Goods or FMCG sectors.
• Exposure to financial planning and reporting systems such as Hyperion.
• Experience working within a large international or multi-channel organisation.
