Live Recruitment

Hybrid working: 2 days in office, 3 days onsite

High-profile festivals, major music venues, flagship outdoor events across the UK calendar, and an Events Operations Manager role where you are both the strategic brain and the onsite lead. A small, non-corporate team in central London, overtime paid, decisions made fast!

- High-profile festivals and major venue events for your portfolio

- Hybrid split: office strategy plus hands-on site leadership

- Small, non-corporate team. Decisions get made, not discussed to death

- Overtime paid or taken as TOIL

- Well-equipped central London office: café, showers, weekly essentials shop and regular socials

The Company

Specialising in traffic, transport and pedestrian management for events, this consultancy handles everything from initial planning to live deployment across festivals, music venues, sporting fixtures, corporate events and agricultural shows. Staff numbers on the ground range from a handful to 250, and the portfolio sits well above what the team size might suggest. It is a focused, full-time outfit where decisions move quickly and the work speaks for itself.

The Role

The Events Operations Manager is the link between planning and delivery: taking briefing documents and operational plans into live site environments, directing large casual teams, and holding client and stakeholder relationships throughout the event cycle.

- Oversee on-site delivery across a varied portfolio of events, ensuring plans are executed to standard

- Lead, brief and support large casual teams on the ground

- Prepare operational plans, briefing documents, risk assessments and method statements

- Build and manage client and stakeholder relationships, including account management and quoting

- Attend SAG meetings and liaise with local councils and transport authorities

- Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to and from event sites

- Hands-on setup of event sites including signage, cones and barriers

The Candidate

The right person for the Events Operations Manager position will have solid experience delivering large-scale outdoor or festival-style events on the ground, with a proven track record of leading casual teams of 20 or more through complex, fast-moving site environments. A valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points is essential, as is comfort working long shifts across weekends and the flexibility that live events demand.

Experience in crowd and traffic management is a strong advantage, as is familiarity with SAG meetings, council liaison, or writing risk assessments and method statements, though these are beneficial rather than essential for any Events Operations Manager candidate. Applications are welcome from festival operations, venue operations or any large-scale outdoor event background where site leadership and stakeholder management have been central to the role.

Paid overtime, genuine variety across the UK events calendar, and a team that gets things done without the corporate noise: this is a position worth moving quickly on. Applications are already coming in and first conversations are being scheduled, so submit yours now and we will be in touch promptly.
