Governance Officer - #2120248

Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a Governance Officer on a 3 month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing secretarial support to the University’s Council, Academic Board and other committees
• Directly servicing Council and other key corporate governance committees as required, ensuring their annual cycles of business are fulfilled, including the coordination and timely preparation and submission of statutory returns
• Managing official College communications with external Trustees and develop effective communication channels between Trustees and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring good governance infrastructure by planning and overseeing an ongoing cycle of concurrent projects, including appropriate timetabling for all College committees
• Developing and managing the implementation of a robust and inclusive committee vacancy, nominations and elections process across all College committees
• Maintaining and developing the governance sections of the intranet and website to ensure all information is accurate and up to date
