GPN Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established, ambitious and acquisitive firm of Chartered Accountants in Northwest London who are on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing Business Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive practice at an exciting stage of its development. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, become a trusted day-to-day contact for clients and deliver a broad mixture of accounts, corporation tax and advisory work—with approximately 30% of the position focused on personal tax.

About the Opportunity

• Manage a mixed portfolio of owner-managed businesses and growing groups
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for your clients
• Prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105
• Undertake personal tax work, accounting for approximately 30% of the role
• Other general practice duties may include corporate tax, management accounts and VAT exposure
• Work extensively with IRIS and Xero
• Support the onboarding and transition of clients onto Xero
• Review work completed by junior team members
• Provide guidance, technical support and on-the-job development to junior staff
• Prepare and review capital allowance computations where required

Qualifications & Skills

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or qualified by experience with relevant practice experience
• Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts
• Previous personal tax preparation and/or review experience
• Strong working knowledge of IRIS and Xero
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
• Capital allowances experience would be advantageous
