Senior Market & Liquidity Risk Business Analyst

London (Hybrid) | Up to £850 per day Umbrella | 6 month contract

A global investment bank is seeking an experienced VP-level Business Analyst to deliver technology and systems change across its Market and Liquidity Risk functions.

This is a senior, business-facing position requiring someone who can operate autonomously, build trust with senior stakeholders and bridge the gap between Risk, Treasury, Front Office and Technology.

Key responsibilities:

1. Lead stakeholder workshops and gather business requirements.
2. Translate complex risk requirements into functional specifications, process flows and data mappings.
3. Support Risk technology change through design, testing, implementation and business adoption.
4. Assess the impact of changes across risk systems, processes and data flows.
5. Work closely with Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Treasury, Front Office and Technology teams.
6. Manage competing priorities and drive stakeholders towards agreed solutions.

Required experience:

1. Senior Business Analysis experience within investment banking or capital markets.
2. Strong Market Risk and/or Liquidity Risk knowledge.
3. Experience delivering technology, systems or regulatory change within Risk.
4. Knowledge of areas such as VaR, Expected Shortfall, FRTB, stress testing, LCR, NSFR or ILAAP.
5. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and workshop-facilitation skills.
6. Experience producing functional specifications, data mappings, user stories and test requirements.
7. Ability to operate independently and establish credibility at VP level.

Technical knowledge of SQL, Python and risk platforms would be beneficial, although this is a stakeholder-led change position rather than a development role.
