Byron Recruitment

Are you a strategic Finance Director looking to drive growth in a high-tech engineering environment? We are partnering with an ambitious engineering firm to find a commercially minded Finance Director. You will sit on the board as the number one in finance, act as a key partner to the CEO, and spearhead critical system transformation.

Partnering with the CEO on growth plans, pricing models, and major commercial bids, you will also lead systems evolution, by being responsible for championing a major ERP implementation project from scratch and drive its ongoing development. Day to day, you will oversee a finance team of 12, helping to develop their careers.

Duties will include:

  • Oversee multi-year capital expenditure, asset management, and R&D tax incentives.
  • Optimise working capital, cash forecasting, and bank relationships.
  • Present financial performance, growth strategies, and market forecasts to shareholders and private equity backers
  • Assist with financial due diligence and integration plans for potential company acquisitions

To be considered for this role, you must be:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven Finance Director within engineering, manufacturing, heavy industry or similar
  • Hands-on experience leading large-scale ERP implementations and continuous system optimization (Oracle, Dynamics, or similar).
  • Strong grasp of project-based costing, supply chain dynamics, and board-level reporting.
